Memories

Zippy was a beautiful sorrel gelding, who stood tall and proud at 16 hands. He was the son of Dont Skip Zip that was purchased from the Dramis family after Andrea rode him in Harriman, Tn. She rode him from one end of the arena to the other with the biggest grin I had ever seen. She later retired her current show gelding Ima Cool Fella and went on to show Dont Zip It.

Andrea and Zippy had a great year in Novice Youth, earning almost 50 points...including standing Grand and Reserve in Halter at one show in Youth.

Zippy unfortunately died due to colic complications, but during that year he earned 7.5 open points, 26 amateur points, 7 youth points and 48.5 Novice Youth points. Andrea and Zippy won amy circuit awards, year end awards for GQHA and all round awards. Her dream was to go to the Youth World before becoming an amateur and she did state qualify in Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation and Youth Geldings. She did show Zippy in Hunter Under Saddle with the top Youth in the country, placing 13th overall in her cut. She was proud of that accomplishment and had a great time at the world.

We have a new prospect for 2004 and we have "Faith" that she will be as fun as Zippy was to be around. Look for Ima James Caan Chip in the near future.
